PREPARATION FOR SUBMITTAL

In preparing manuscript, authors should consult guidelines for Micropaleontology, or guidelines for Stratigraphy. Prior to submittal, check that you have the following materials available on your computer:

  • The complete manuscript (abstract, text, references, illustrations, tables) in a single PDF. It is strongly advised to reduce the size of graphics, for convenience in handling the PDF file. If the manuscript is accepted, full-sized graphics can be uploaded to your submitted paper in Micro Man.
  • Pre-reviewer names and email addresses; the completed forms are not required.
  • A separate copy of the abstract, as a MS Word document, for reviewer information.
  • A separate copy of the text alone, as a MS Word document, for reviewer convenience. NOTE: all embedded illustrations and hidden data links created by "Ibid.", "End Notes" or other utilities, should be removed before submittal.
  • A cover letter, as a MS Word document, for the editor's private information. This describes the submittal, identifies the corresponding author, and gives any other details about schedule, alternate addresses, and so forth. The cover letter may also include suggestions (pro or con) in regard to reviewers.
  • For technical problems with submittals, contact the editors at Micropaleontology Press.
